A Community Tradition.
A Day of Action.
A Local Impact
Against Cancer.
Every year, our community comes together to honor the people we love, support those still fighting, and take action against cancer — right here at home.
This isn’t just a golf outing. It’s a reminder that showing up together matters.
What is
The Tony Open?
When? june 1, 2026
Where? country club of jackson
The Tony Open is a long-standing community golf fundraiser dedicated to taking action against cancer. While the day includes a golf outing, the heart of the event goes far beyond the course.
Each year, players, sponsors, families, and supporters come together to honor loved ones affected by cancer, support local research and treatment, and stand alongside neighbors who are still fighting.
Who it’s for:
Golfers, businesses, families, and community members — even if you don’t golf.
Why it matters:
Proceeds directly support cancer research and treatment that impacts the Jackson community
Why It MattersCancer has touched nearly every family in our community.
The Tony Open exists because awareness isn’t enough — action matters. This event was built on the belief that when people come together with purpose, something real happens.
This day is about remembering those we’ve lost, supporting those still in the fight, and turning love, loss, and frustration into meaningful local impact.
We don’t wait quietly.
We show up, together, and do something about it.
The Reason.
Organizations We Support.
The Tony Open is committed to turning community support into real, measurable impact. Proceeds from the tournament help support organizations that provide cancer research, treatment, and care — both nationally and right here in Jackson County.
American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Through research, education, advocacy, and patient services, the organization works to prevent cancer, save lives, and reduce the suffering caused by cancer.
GAYLE M. JACOB CANCER CENTER
The Gayle M. Jacob Cancer Center at Allegiance Health provides advanced, compassionate cancer care for patients and families in our local community. Designed as a healing environment, the center offers comprehensive treatment supported by modern technology and patient-centered care, ensuring individuals and families in Jackson County have access to high-quality cancer care close to home.
How To Be Involved
There’s More Than One Way to be Involved
You don’t have to fit into a single box to be part of The Tony Open. Everyone shows up differently — and that’s the point.
Register a team and be part of a golf outing that stands for something bigger than the scorecard.
PLAY
Support the event as a business or organization and visibly stand with the local community affected by cancer.
SPONSOR
Not a golfer? You can still be part of the day through donations, involvement, or helping spread the word.
SUPPORT
Dedicate your participation to someone affected by cancer — because this event is rooted in real names and real stories.
HONOR
A TRADITION BUILT ON PURPOSE.
The Tony Open was created to honor the spirit, values, and sense of community that Tony Consolino represented — and over time, it has grown into one of Jackson’s most meaningful annual traditions.
What started as a small act of remembrance has become a powerful way for people to come together, year after year, in support of one another and in action against cancer.
Families return. Businesses recommit. New faces join. Not out of obligation — but because this day continues to mean something.
BE a PART OF THIS YEAR’S TONY OPEN
Whether you play, sponsor, support, or simply show up — your involvement matters.
This is a day built on community, action, and remembrance. And there’s a place for you in it.
